Sources and sweeps

Where Greenlight looks for bids, and how often.

A source is a place Greenlight checks for new solicitations. A sweep is one check of your sources. New results land in Bids › Inbox with a verdict already attached.

Available sources: SAM.gov, Grants.gov, SBIR/STTR, GSA eBuy (by email: turn on RFQ email notices in your eBuy account and forward them to your Greenlight address; Greenlight never asks for your eBuy login), Federal Register (notices and RFIs, rarely direct bids), USAspending (past awards, for research), RSS/Atom feeds, portal pages, email alerts and custom sources.

  1. Open Bids › Sources.
  2. Turn a source on or off with its switch.
  3. Choose how often to sweep, from every hour to weekly. Each source can also have its own schedule.
  4. Press Sweep now to check all switched-on sources immediately, or the play button on one source to check just that one.

A switched-off source can't be swept. Turn it on first. Each source shows when it was last swept.

The Free plan includes 2 sources. Solo, Team and Pro have no source limit. Admins and owners can edit sources. Members can run sweeps.
